A PROGRESSIVE POWER UP SCREENSAVER

Watch it unfold.

Watch is the complete free autonomous screensaver. Take the Helm is the optional standalone playable edition; paid downloads appear on your private purchase page after verified payment.

Free Watch downloads

Early release 0.9.3. Native builds have been checked on Windows 11 and Ubuntu 24.04 with GNOME/X11. Other Linux desktops and physical sleep/resume or mixed-monitor configurations have not all been validated. Windows executables are unsigned and may trigger an operating-system security prompt.

Install & run

1. Download the ZIP for your operating system.
2. Extract the complete archive into a folder you control. Keep the executable and its accompanying folders together.
3. Start AFK Wars and select Watch now or Window preview. On Linux, allow the launcher executable to run if your file manager requires it.
4. For automatic activation, enable it in settings and choose your idle delay. Leave AFK Wars running in the background. Your existing display sleep and lock settings remain in charge.

Reopen the launcher to bring back settings, including when the tray icon is hidden. Use Check for updates in settings to download and install signed updates. Take the Helm owners can paste their private purchase link into update settings; offline play does not require the link. Quit AFK Wars before replacing its files manually. To remove it, quit, remove any startup shortcut you added, and delete its extracted folder. See the included README for full platform instructions and settings locations.

Display care

Pure black, moving wireframes and drifting controls are designed with OLED displays in mind. No screensaver guarantees prevention of burn-in or image retention. Keep your manufacturer's care features and normal screen-sleep settings enabled.
